Ingredients

1 cup long grain white rice (uncooked)

2 cups beef broth (or vegetable broth)

1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional: fresh chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In an 8×8 inch baking dish, mix rice, broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut butter into pats and lay evenly on top of rice mixture. Do not stir.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes, until the top is golden.
  6. Let rest 5-10 minutes before fluffing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
