Description

This stovetop creamy ground beef pasta is a rich, cheesy, and comforting dish that comes together in just 30 minutes. Made with tender pasta, seasoned ground beef, and a velvety cheese sauce, it’s the perfect one-pan meal for busy weeknights. Serve it with garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete dinner.

Ingredients

2 oz rotini or penne pasta

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Slowly pour in beef broth, stirring constantly. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Let it cook for 2-3 more minutes.
  7. Add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  8. Mix in cooked pasta, tossing everything together. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water.
  9. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
