Ingredients

1 box strawberry cake mix

8 oz cream cheese, softened

12 oz white chocolate chips or melting wafers

1/2 cup pink candy melts (or dyed white chocolate)

2 tbsp strawberry crumble or red/pink sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the strawberry cake as directed on the box. Let it cool completely.

2. Crumble the cake into a large bowl until it resembles fine crumbs.

3. Add softened cream cheese and mix thoroughly until a dough-like consistency forms.

4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined tray. Chill for at least 1 hour or freeze for 20 minutes.

5. Melt the white chocolate and dip each chilled truffle, tapping off excess. Return to tray.

6. Drizzle with melted pink candy melts or dyed chocolate.

7. Sprinkle with strawberry crumble or sprinkles if desired.

8. Chill again for 20-30 minutes until the coating sets.

9. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

Make sure the cake is fully cooled before mixing with cream cheese to avoid melting the mixture.

Freeze truffle balls briefly for easy coating and less mess.
