Ingredients

1/2 lb ground beef

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/2 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon allspice

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups beef broth

3/4 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

12 oz egg noodles

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and allspice. Mix gently until just combined.

2. Shape into 1-inch meatballs and brown in a skillet over medium heat. Set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour. Cook for 1–2 minutes.

4. Slowly add beef broth while whisking. Then stir in cream and Worcestershire. Simmer until thickened.

5. Cook egg noodles just until al dente. Drain.

6. Toss noodles with the sauce and gently fold in meatballs.

7. Transfer to a greased 9×13 baking dish. Top with parsley.

8. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 10 minutes.

9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Don’t overmix your meatball mixture—keep it tender by mixing until just combined.

Add a splash of cream when reheating leftovers to maintain the creamy texture.
