Description
These fudgy red velvet brownies are the kind of easy recipe that instantly feels special the moment they come out of the pan. They’re rich, chewy, moist, and packed with that classic red velvet flavor with a hint of cocoa and a glossy finish on top. If you’re looking for dessert ideas, holiday baking, a sweet snack, party treats, or simple food ideas that look bakery-worthy without a lot of effort, this quick dessert is one of my favorite brownie recipes to make.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon red food coloring
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup white chocolate, melted for drizzle
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar together until glossy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until the mixture is smooth and evenly colored.
5. Sift in the cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, and salt.
6. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until combined. Do not overmix.
7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
8. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
9. Cool the brownies completely in the pan.
10. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top, let it set, then slice and serve.
Notes
Let the brownies cool completely before slicing so the centers set properly and the cuts stay neat.
For the fudgiest texture, do not overbake; pull them from the oven when the middle still has a few moist crumbs.
