Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1/3 cup water

1 cup salsa

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups corn chips or tortilla chips

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup sliced jalapeños

1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Sour cream (optional)

Shredded lettuce (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes, then mix in salsa.
  4. In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer crushed chips on the bottom.
  5. Add the beef mixture over the chips, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
