Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

2 boneless chicken breasts

2 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cracked black pepper

1 tsp dried Italian herbs or parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Grill over medium heat for 5–7 minutes per side. Let rest, then slice thinly.

2. Boil fettuccine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.

3. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.

4. Slowly add milk and cream, whisking continuously. Simmer until thickened.

5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Adjust consistency with pasta water if needed.

6. Toss cooked pasta in the sauce until fully coated.

7. Plate pasta and top with grilled chicken slices. Garnish with extra Parmesan and herbs.

Notes

Reserve pasta water to adjust the sauce consistency as needed.

Let the grilled chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy and flavorful.
