Description
Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread is the kind of sweet breakfast bake that instantly makes the kitchen smell warm, buttery, and irresistible. Ingredients
2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls, 12.4 ounces each
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously grease a bundt pan.
2. Open the cinnamon roll cans and set the icing aside for later use.
3. Cut each cinnamon roll into 4 pieces.
4. In a large bowl or zip-top bag, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
5. Add the cinnamon roll pieces and toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
6. Place the coated dough pieces into the prepared bundt pan, spreading them out evenly.
7. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
8. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dough pieces in the pan.
9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the monkey bread is golden brown and cooked through.
10. Let it cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes.
11. Carefully invert onto a serving plate.
12. Whisk the reserved icing with powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
13. Drizzle the glaze over the warm monkey bread and serve.
Notes
Use plenty of grease in the bundt pan so the sticky topping releases cleanly after baking.
Let the monkey bread rest briefly before inverting so the caramel settles but does not harden in the pan.
