Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 jar marshmallow creme, 7 ounces

3 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream


Instructions

1. Beat the softened butter in a large bowl for 3 to 4 minutes until pale, smooth, and fluffy.

2. Add the marshmallow creme, vanilla extract, and salt, then beat until fully combined and silky.

3. Add the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until smooth.

4. Add 2 tablespoons heavy cream and beat until light and fluffy. Add the final tablespoon only if needed for a softer consistency.

5. Continue beating for 1 to 2 more minutes until the buttercream is airy and easy to spread or pipe.

6. Use immediately to frost cupcakes, cakes, brownies, or cookies.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for the smoothest texture and best volume.

If the buttercream feels too soft, chill it for 10 to 15 minutes, then whip again before piping.
