Description

This Hot Honey Salmon is the kind of easy dinner that tastes like something far more special than the effort it takes. The salmon bakes up tender, flaky, and rich, while the hot honey glaze turns glossy, sticky, sweet, and just spicy enough to make every bite exciting. It is perfect for a quick breakfast-for-dinner twist, an easy dinner, healthy snack leftovers, simple seafood meal prep, and weeknight food ideas when you want bold flavor without a complicated recipe.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons hot sauce

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Pat the salmon fillets dry and season them with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, melted butter, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.

4. Place the salmon fillets in the prepared dish and spoon part of the hot honey mixture over the top.

5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon is almost cooked through.

6. Spoon the remaining glaze over the salmon and return it to the oven for 2 to 3 more minutes until glossy and flaky.

7. Remove from the oven, let it rest for 2 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Use salmon fillets that are close in size so they cook evenly and finish at the same time.

Do not overbake the salmon because it will continue cooking slightly after it comes out of the oven.
