  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, chopped parsley, dill, or cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Dice the avocado and chop the fresh herbs finely. Drain the tuna thoroughly to avoid excess moisture.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, olive oil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • In a mixing bowl, gently fold the tuna, avocado, and fresh herbs. Keep the avocado chunky, not mashed.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Serve immediately or chill for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served fresh. Refrigerate for no longer than 1 day. Extra lime juice can help reduce browning.
