  • 2 steaks ribeye or sirloin (8 oz each)
  • 1 cup queso sauce
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

Instructions
 

  • Pat steaks dry and coat with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Rest 10–15 minutes.
  • Heat skillet or grill; sear 3–4 minutes per side until 130°F for medium-rare.
  • Rest steaks 5–7 minutes before slicing.
  • Heat queso in a saucepan with a splash of milk; add chilies if desired.
  • Serve steak over rice, drizzle with queso, and sprinkle herbs.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness. Add extra spices to queso for a kick.
